I'm not sure that, at this moment in time, things could align any better than a song that hit YouTube today. Bret McKenzie (of Flight of the Conchords fame) wrote several songs for the upcoming Muppet Movie, and with it, our excitement level about our trip (18 days!) has just reached a new all time high.
Do you know Flight of the Conchords? It has to be one of our favorite television series of all times, following the story (in song no less!) of two New Zealand comic/musician leads who were transplants to NYC. I'm not sure there have been many more times in our lives when both R and I sat laughing to tears with our stomachs aching, beyond when we were watching the series' first season. It is hilarious! Check out the video of the new song (that even includes a New-Zealand-appropriate line about lamb):

Okay, so maybe it isn't the greatest song in the world, but it hits home right now, and we are definitely going to have to see the Muppet Movie in New Zealand with the kids (it opens there December 29) because of Bret McKenzie's participation. We'll just have to pick the hottest, balmiest summer day to see it...
